Compton Cemetery -
Ashes Scattering
The Cemetery has set aside an area of peace and tranquility, near Section O, specifically for the scattering of cremated remains among wild flowers and grassland, beneath a magnificent Flowering Cherry Tree.
-
A fee is payable for such permission - click here for details. The deceased does not need to have been associated with The Compton Parish, but the fees will reflect this.
-
Application to Scatter cremated remains in this, or any permitted area of the cemetery, must be made to the Parish Clerk.
-
Click the button below to load an Application Form, which can be completed electronically and sent to the Clerk by attaching it via the 'Contact Us' page of this website.
Alternatively, it can be printed, completed with a pen and posted to the Clerk (the address is on the Form).
-
The Fee for scattering includes a one-page entry into
the online 'Book of Remembrance' (click on the button below).
-
The page is created from the information provided on the Application Form. Alternatively, if you wish to design your own page and have it included in the Book, this would also be acceptable. Once permission has been granted and the fee paid, simply send it to the Clerk as a pdf document (again, using the 'Contact Us' page).
